The twelve children are gathered and come to the Great Chamberlain’s Estate. They sit around a large round table.
The Great Watchmaker explains why they are there.
“I am the one who makes the laws, the one who writes the laws.
All laws are written down somewhere.
Universal laws are written in the stars. The laws of nature are written in the plants, in the leaves, the stems and flowers, in the rocks, in the smallest speck of dust. They are written in every drop of water in the dewdrop, in every drop of the ocean, and also in the wind.
The universal laws and the laws of nature are always right, always just as they should be. Nothing is left to chance.
If men followed the laws of nature and the laws of the universe, it would not have been necessary for me to write the laws just for them.
Yet men are part of nature, part of the Universe itself.
But as some men do not understand my statutes, or sometimes these laws disturb them, they write their own laws.
Some of these laws are not made to improve the lives of the men, they are written by men of power who take advantage of this power to pass laws that suit them, allowing them to earn profits.
A long time ago, I wrote laws for men with letters of fire in rock to allow them to live in harmony.
And despite that, men have not yet realized that all the laws that I write are always right.
So I asked the wise men like Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Gandhi and many others come to Earth to teach the universal laws.
And as many have still not understood the importance of the laws of the universe and the laws of nature, I chose some men, long ago, to write new laws for them that we called "The Declaration of Human Rights."
The Declaration of Human Rights was written to allow all men of the Earth to show respect to other men. For some, nothing has changed. For others, they missed a detail: "Human Rights" meant rights for ALL men!
And in “ALL men”, many did not understand that women and children were included!
So I will have to write new laws with respect to women and children.
It is a shame that we have to explain everything in detail.
For women, I will see later what I can do for them, humans will understand perhaps before.
Regarding Children's Rights, Who are better placed than the children themselves to write these laws?
That is why you are here today. Starting today, you are:
